Industrial Land for lease at Marsden Pt
Northland Port Corporation has 185ha available on a leasehold basis. Of this some 25ha is zoned Business 2, suitable for light industrial uses, and the balance Business 4 and port zone which is suitable for heavy industrial use.
Access to the port at Marsden Point is available "off road", meaning that normally overweight loads can be transported direct from a site to the ship's side.
Lease periods of up to 35 years are available and site areas are flexible depending on individual needs.

Lease terms
The following are the indicative lease terms for land at Marsden Point:
- Location - the land holdings are shown in the drawings above. Click on the drawing to see a larger image or click here>> to download a larger PDF of the site. The boundaries are indicative only as we have not subdivided the land. This provides more flexibility as we can tailor sites to suit particular needs.
- Leases of up to 35 years are available with three yearly rent reviews. Rentals are set by valuation. As an indication rentals will normally be in the region of $60-$80,000/ha per annum plus outgoings. Should a longer term lease be required land can be subdivided by agreement for this purpose.
- Leases require that the land must be used for port related purposes and contain a provision that the lease can be terminated if the property ceases to be used for this purpose. Attached is a standard lease document which we use.
- Sites will be provided level and ready for building. Services will be provided to the site boundary.
- Many sites have "off-road" access to the port allowing overweight loads to be carried.
